This latest series delves into the expressive power of the human face through a collection of hand formed ceramic masks — a vivid interplay of emotion, texture, and colour.

Some are raku fired, revealing the medium’s signature cracked glaze; others are ornately glazed and patterned, layered with detail.
Many are adorned with intricately crafted headdresses, introducing unexpected contrasts and infusing the work with a bold, contemporary edge.

This evocative and thought-provoking series was on show during Open Studios Fish Hoek & Clovelly, a vibrant community art event that featured 19 artists across 15 studio spaces.
